ASEDC is governed by a three-person executive and supported by 13 staff members on the ground in Kigali. Every member of our leadership lives and works in the communities ASEDC serves.
Each leader holds a defined role under ASEDC's bylaws and reports to the General Assembly of members.
Founded ASEDC in 2002 and has led the organization ever since, growing it from a single classroom into a six-program NGO. Serves as ASEDC's legal representative to government and international partners.
Oversees ASEDC's day-to-day operations, coordinating between program staff and the executive committee.
Manages ASEDC's finances, ensuring compliance with Rwandan tax law and donor reporting requirements.
Beyond the executive committee, ASEDC employs 13 staff members — teachers at La Pépinière, vocational training instructors, program coordinators, and administrative staff. All are registered with the Rwanda Revenue Authority and enrolled in social security.
Members convene annually to review the year's work, approve audited accounts, and elect the executive committee. The assembly is the highest authority in ASEDC's bylaws.
Annual financial statements are produced and shared with funders. ASEDC complies with Rwandan tax law and submits required reports to district authorities and MINALOC.
Each program has a designated point of contact for the funding partner. Quarterly narrative and financial reports are standard for institutional donors.
We welcome volunteers, interns, and skilled professionals — particularly those with grant-writing, monitoring & evaluation, or fundraising backgrounds. We also welcome diaspora Rwandans interested in giving back.
